We are seeking a Communications Specialist who has excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills. A high-quality candidate should also have experience managing multiple communications campaigns at a time and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Interpersonal skills are a must since the Communications Specialist will regularly collaborate with all CM employees and executive management.

Overview of the Position

CM is seeking an experienced, full-time Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Provider to offer training and technical assistance in the areas of early childhood and behavioral health. CM projects (http://changematrix.org/services/projects/) have a focus on equity, systems change, leadership development, and evaluation.

Job Responsibilities:

This role will, in large part, include leading and partnering on several projects for CM (potentially Early Childhood System Technical Assistance Center, National Technical Assistance Center for Children’s Mental Health, Pacific Southwest Mental Health Technology Transfer Center).

  • Provide high quality relationship-based universal and intensive 1:1 or group technical assistance (TA) and training to the field and specific states/Pacific Island territories/communities (position will require working with clients in the Pacific Time Zone and will require travel).
  • Provide health equity capacity building/TA to a variety of audiences, including mental health providers, community members, university teams.
  • Collaborate with CM project teams to ensure that projects are implemented with an equity lens and are thorough, measurable, and well-positioned to inform learning and action for change.
  • Initiate, develop, and deliver high quality written products.
  • Participate on weekly CM Communities of Learning, Being, and Doing for the entire CM staff.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Master’s degree or higher in public health, social work, mental health, or related field with at least seven years of experience in project direction, preferably in government sectors and/or philanthropy.
  • Documented experience providing TA to community, state, or national programs.
  • Dedication to and experience in advancing diversity, racial equity, and inclusion into organizational and institutional policies and practices.
  • Strong facilitation, capacity building, and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience establishing relationships across multiple and diverse partners.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to write clearly, speak to diverse audiences, listen, and connect with partners, staff, and colleagues at multiple levels.
  • Proficiency with Office 365 software, and comfort with learning computer-based and technological applications.

Compensation and Benefits
  • The salary range for this position is $80,000 – $90,000 depending on experience.
  • CM offers an open policy for planned time off (PTO). It is important to CM that team members have time to restore and recharge away from work. The policy is built on trust and collaboration with team members. We also offer five paid holiday days and six days of sick leave.
  • We offer a contribution to an employer-sponsored health plan upon employment and a retirement plan with matching contributions after six months of full-time employment.
  • Change Matrix supports the use of Mac computers and contributes $500 towards the purchase of a Mac computer and/or provides a loaner computer or laptop for team members. In addition, $100 will be offered annually for technology repairs and updates.
  • Change Matrix offers a $125 per month stipend to offset phone and internet charges.
Location and Technology
  • CM is a virtual company and has team members located across the United States.
  • Candidates must reside in the United States.
  • Candidates must have access to a quiet workspace that has adequate internet connectivity that supports online presentations and collaborative work.
  • CM supports the use of Mac computers and contributes $500 towards the purchase of a Mac computer and/or provides a loaner computer or laptop for team members. In addition, $100 will be offered annually for technology repairs and updates.
